The PXIe-7856 is a PXI Express multifunction I/O module from National Instruments. It features a user-programmable Kintex-7 160T FPGA for high-performance onboard processing and direct control over I/O signals. This makes it ideal for applications that require precise timing and control, such as hardware-in-the-loop testing, custom protocol communication, sensor simulation, and high-speed control.
The PXIe-7856 also includes:
- 16 analog input channels with a maximum sampling rate of 1 MS/s
- 16 analog output channels with a maximum update rate of 1 MS/s
- 32 digital I/O lines
- Two counter/timers
- A quadrature encoder input
- Peer-to-peer streaming for direct data transfer to other PXI Express modules
