The PXIe-6386 is a multifunction data acquisition (DAQ) device that is ideal for a variety of applications, such as IF digitization, transient recording, ISDN, ADSL, and POTS manufacturing test in the telecom industry, ultrasound and sonar testing, and high-energy physics. It has eight 16-bit analog inputs, two analog outputs, and 24 digital I/O lines. It can sample at up to 14 MS/s per channel and has a maximum streaming rate of 240 MB/s.
The PXIe-6386 is also equipped with a number of features that make it well-suited for demanding applications, such as:
- A built-in FIFO buffer that helps to ensure data integrity when sampling at high speeds
- A differential clock input that can be used to synchronize the PXIe-6386 with other instruments
- A trigger input that can be used to start and stop data acquisition
