The National Instruments PXI-4461 is a 2-channel, 2-output sound and vibration module for PXI systems. It provides high-performance analog input and output capabilities for a variety of applications, including:
- Audio and vibration measurement and analysis

- Noise and vibration control
- Acoustic test and measurement
The PXI-4461 features two analog input channels with a maximum sample rate of 200 kHz per channel. The input channels have a wide dynamic range of 128 dB and a signal-to-noise ratio of 108 dB. The module also features two analog output channels with a maximum sample rate of 200 kHz per channel. The output channels have a signal-to-noise ratio of 100 dB.
The PXI-4461 is also equipped with a number of features that make it ideal for sound and vibration applications, including:
- A built-in anti-aliasing filter
- A digital downconverter (DDC) for downconverting high-frequency signals
- A digital upconverter (DUC) for upconverting low-frequency signals
- A digital filter for filtering signals
- A decimator for reducing the sample rate of signals
- An interpolator for increasing the sample rate of signals
