The GE DS200TCEAG1B Emergency Overspeed Board is a critical component of the GE Speedtronic Mark V gas turbine control systems.
Its primary function is to monitor the turbine’s speed and initiate an emergency shutdown if it detects overspeed conditions. This helps prevent catastrophic equipment failure and ensures the safety of personnel and the environment.
Key Features:
1. Over Speed Detection: Constantly monitors the turbine’s rotational speed. If the speed exceeds a predetermined threshold, it initiates a rapid shutdown sequence.
2. Flame Detection: Can also be configured to monitor flame detection signals. If a flameout or abnormal flame pattern is detected, it can trigger a shutdown to prevent damage to the turbine.
3. Microprocessor and PROM Modules: Contains a microprocessor and programmable read-only memory (PROM) modules that store the board’s operating instructions and firmware.
