The GE DS200IIBDG1A is an Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) gate driver card that is part of the Mark V turbine control system. It is used to drive the IGBTs in the Mark V system, which are responsible for switching high currents in the power train. The DS200IIBDG1A has a number of features that make it well-suited for this application, including high reliability, low power consumption, and a small footprint.
The DS200IIBDG1A has nine LED indicators that provide the status of the board. The LEDs are visible from inside the circuit board cabinet and are red when lit. The DS200IIBDG1A is also available in an ACA version, which has an additional connector that provides access to the board’s internal signals.
