Product Description
The Allen-Bradley 1769-ADN is a DeviceNet Adapter Module for the CompactLogix 1769 and MicroLogix 1500 controllers. It allows you to connect your CompactLogix or MicroLogix controller to a DeviceNet network, which gives you access to a wide range of DeviceNet devices, such as sensors, actuators, and drives.
Product Parameters
- Supports 125, 250, and 500 Kbps baud rates
- Connects up to 30 DeviceNet nodes
- DIN rail or panel mount
- Power consumption: 125 mA at 24 VDC
Usage Method
To use the 1769-ADN, you will need to connect it to your CompactLogix or MicroLogix controller using a DeviceNet cable. You will also need to connect the 1769-ADN to a DeviceNet network using a DeviceNet cable.
Once the 1769-ADN is connected, you will need to configure it using Rockwell Automation’s RSLogix 5000 or RSLogix Micro software. You can use this software to configure the baud rate, node address, and other settings for the 1769-ADN.
Product Application
The 1769-ADN can be used in a wide variety of industrial applications, such as:
- Manufacturing automation
- Process control
- Material handling
- Packaging
- Food and beverage processing
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Oil and gas production
Examples
Here are some examples of how the 1769-ADN can be used in industrial applications:
- In a manufacturing plant, the 1769-ADN can be used to connect a CompactLogix controller to a DeviceNet network of sensors and actuators. This would allow the controller to monitor and control the manufacturing process.
- In a process control application, the 1769-ADN can be used to connect a CompactLogix controller to a DeviceNet network of sensors and valves. This would allow the controller to monitor and control the process conditions.
- In a material handling application, the 1769-ADN can be used to connect a CompactLogix controller to a DeviceNet network of conveyors and robots. This would allow the controller to control the movement of materials through the facility.
The 1769-ADN is a versatile and powerful DeviceNet adapter module that can be used in a wide variety of industrial applications.
